The 2026 Forbes Selfmade Award honoured Hajnalka Somogyi, Founder and Director of OFF-Biennále Budapest. Representing Moni's Diamond, Zsófia Halmai, Marketing & Communications Director, presented the award.

Hajnalka Somogyi: A leading figure in contemporary art
This year's recipient, Hajnalka Somogyi, is one of the leading figures in Hungary's contemporary art scene. The OFF-Biennále Budapest, which she founded, has become the country's largest independent contemporary art event and has helped bring Hungarian contemporary art to international attention.
As a curator, institution builder and community leader, Somogyi has redefined what cultural leadership means in Hungary today. Alongside leading OFF-Biennále Budapest, she is also a lecturer and has previously served as a curator at the Ludwig Museum, Director of Trafó Gallery, and co-founded several independent art initiatives. She holds a degree in Art History from ELTE and a Master's degree in Curatorial Studies from the Bard College Center for Curatorial Studies in New York.
