Much of the Anna Ball’s appeal lies in this sense of continuity. Generations come and go, and each year brings new guests, new gowns and new stories, yet some of the evening’s most anticipated moments remain rooted in traditions that have been observed for decades. Among them is the selection of the Belle of the Ball and her two Maids of Honour.
This year, 18-year-old Balatonfüred local Laura Windisch was named Belle of the Ball. It was not her first time in the spotlight: at last year’s landmark 200th Anna Ball, she was chosen as First Maid of Honour. This year’s result became even more memorable for the Windisch family when Laura’s 16-year-old sister, Regina, was named Second Maid of Honour. The title of First Maid of Honour went to 16-year-old Viktória Tollas from Debrecen.
The 201st Anna Ball also welcomed 23 debutantes from Balatonfüred. Each year, the city invites local 18-year-old women to attend the ball, allowing a new generation to become part of a tradition that has shaped Balatonfüred’s cultural life for more than two centuries.

This year’s Anna Ball also marked an important milestone for Moni’s Diamond: 15 years as a supporting partner of the event.

Over the past 15 years, Moni’s Diamond has become part of one of the evening’s most memorable traditions. Once again this year, the Belle of the Ball and her two Maids of Honour each received a Moni’s Diamond diamond jewel, a lasting reminder of an evening they will remember for years to come.
The pieces were presented on stage by jewellery designer and Moni’s Diamond owner Mónika Suta, marking another chapter in a partnership that has now accompanied the Anna Ball for a decade and a half.
